Terms & Conditions
By submitting an enquiry you confirm that you have authority to request this service and that information supplied is accurate and complete.
1. Service
Sitting services will be provided according to the details in the enquiry and any subsequent agreement. Any fees and confirmation are subject to separate agreement.
2. Health & Safety
Clients must disclose all relevant health, medical, medication and behavioural information for pets, children, or household hazards, and ensure vaccinations are up to date for pets.
3. Emergency Actions
In an emergency, the sitter will act in the best interests of the person/pet/property and arrange appropriate medical or veterinary care. Emergency costs (vet or medical) are the client's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
4. Owner/Parent Responsibilities
Clients must supply accurate contact details, emergency contacts, keys/access, alarm codes, medication instructions and any permissions required to perform the requested tasks.
5. Cancellations & Changes
Bookings must be confirmed in advance. A deposit may be required for longer bookings, weekends, public holidays, house sitting or pet boarding.
- Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the booking will not be charged.
- Cancellations made 24–72 hours before the booking may be charged 50% of the booking fee.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking, same-day cancellations or no-shows will be charged 100% of the booking fee.
- Changes to dates or times are subject to availability. Early returns or shortened bookings are non-refundable. Late returns or extensions will be charged accordingly.
- If a parent/client is late for pickup/collection (after the agreed end time), a 50% penalty rate applies to the extra time: the hourly rate increases by 50% for each hour (or part thereof) after the agreed “to” time (e.g., R100/hour becomes R150/hour for the extra time).
- Clients must provide accurate information regarding pets and children. Aggressive behavior, undisclosed medical needs or unsafe environments may result in immediate cancellation of services.
6. Liability
Except where prohibited by law, liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of the services booked. The sitter is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
7. Children Care
Caregivers provide attentive care but are not a substitute for parental supervision where statutory duties apply. Parents must keep emergency contacts current and provide accurate medical details.
8. Data & Privacy
Personal information provided will be used for our own internal administrative purposes, limited strictly to bookings and enquiries (including contacting you, scheduling, and service delivery). We will not sell, distribute, or share your personal information with third parties except where necessary to provide the requested service (e.g., emergency medical/veterinary assistance) or where required by law. You may request that your information be deleted at any time.
9. Insurance & Indemnity
Clients are responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance where necessary and agree to indemnify sitters for claims resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided.
